New products: Data logger DL5 & RTU DinBox GSM M4!

New products: Data logger DL5 & RTU DinBox GSM M4!
Bausch Datacom launches in october 2024 new products: an upgraded 4G datalogger for SDI12 applications and a pocket sized RTU for metering and SCADA applications.

Delta Logger DL5_BG95_M3_CS

The Delta Logger BG95_M3_CS is an upgrade of the DL2 series and offers some new features such as RS-485 Modbus (in option).
DL5 is a 3rd generation logging device with 2 analog inputs, one SDI12 and two (pulse) counter interfaces. The device is battery powered and functions as a stand-alone data logger, collecting data from (SDI 12) sensor, analog input or Pulse Counting and transmitting the data through LTE Cat M1/Cat NB2 / GPRS at programmable intervals.

DinBox GSM M4

The DinBox GSM M4 is a versatile 4G communication device with routing, RTU and transparant IP communication. It is the ideal solution to integrate Modbus devices in a SCADA IEC 60870-5-104 environment.  There are 3 data communication scenarios in which you can use the DinBox GSM M4 device:

Scenario 1: The DinBox GSM M4 is used as a typical external modem for reading out (electricity) meter devices for invoicing applications. 4G communication is setup from the central backoffice to the modem, which is in Socket server mode. The modem is in listening mode and the data is sent to its fixed IP address. A serial connection is made to the connected meter. At this point a transparant data mode is open, allowing DLMS or other protocols to be executed. (The DinBox GSM M4 can also be used in socket client mode)
Scenario 2: The DinBox gsm M4 can be used as a basic 4G router (NAT) allowing up to 8 devices to be connected.
Scenario 3: The DinBox GSM M4 is used as a RTU, mapping IEC 60870-5 objects to Modbus registers or coils, via 4G WAN connection and secured by TLS 1.2 (1.3 coming soon).
