GPRS LTE Cat.1 (M1) (NB IoT) Modem The InduBox GSM M4 modem builds on the design robustness and component quality of 15 years of InduBox modem experience. It operates as a versatile communication device designed to provide flexible data communication solutions for industrial environments. It comes not only with a wide range AC power supply, but also includes a watchdog circuit to insure continuous operation. The modem uses a Sierra Wireless communication module and has galvanically isolated RS-232 and RS-485 interfaces. Everything is managed by a powerful Cortex M4 microcontroller. The modem is built into a wall mountable and sealable housing with a separate terminal cover. Thanks to the Sierra Wireless CF3 HL footprint WAN module the InduBox GSM M4 offers the flexibility to easily migrate communication technologies, thus making it future proof. Depending on the application, the modem can be provided with a standard 3GPP cellular 2G GPRS, 3G UMTS, 4G LTE or with a LPWA (low power wide area), LTE-M or NB-IoT module. LPWA with 3GPP 2G GPRS fallback is also possible. Most modules are available for global or NAM, EMEA and APAC only regions. The modem can also be used as a basic router connecting up to 8 devices.
